All members of the community are invited to a workshop concerning Safe Routes to School and Complete Streets.

Complete Streets is an effort to make streets safe and convenient for all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. More info: http://www.completestreets.org/ and http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-584

The workshop will be held Thursday May 20 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Moscow City Hall Chambers (2nd floor of City Hall).
- Learn about Safe Routes to School and how to develop Complete Streets that serve all users, including school children.
- Learn how community design and locations of schools can help create neighborhoods that reduce reliance on driving, are healthier for residents and offer more transportation choices for all users.
- Engage in the process of developing Complete Street policies by providing needed citizen input on the following elements of Complete Street policy:
- Share your vision for seamless, safe, integrated and connected transportation network for all Moscow citizens for all modes of transportation.
- Provide needed representation for all categories of transportation users – pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation riders, vehicle users, and persons of all ages and ability levels.
- Help identify barriers to safe, accessible, active travel in and around Moscow.
- Identify needed exceptions of Complete Street policy.
